Jaga Experience Lab: measurable comfort, tested in real-life conditions

Every space tells a different story. At Jaga, we believe that heating, cooling and ventilation should never be standard solutions. They must seamlessly match the context, the people and the ambitions of each individual project. That is exactly why we have the Jaga Experience Lab: a unique climate laboratory where technology, units and real-life use come together.

From design to experience

In the Experience Lab, we bring projects to life even before they become reality. We invite architects, clients and consultants to explore their specific challenges together with us. What does a certain emission strategy mean for comfort? How does a space react to rapid temperature changes? And how do users experience airflows, radiation and silence?

By testing solutions under realistic conditions, we make customised technology tangible. Not as an abstract report, but as a shared experience. This creates trust, insight and a common language between all partners involved.

This is how we test reality

The heart of the lab is an impressive climate chamber of no less than 600 m³. It contains two identical test houses that make it possible to compare different systems one-to-one. In addition, the lab features a DIN test cabin and a multifunctional auditorium where analysis, dialogue and knowledge sharing come together.

Within this controlled environment, we can simulate a wide range of scenarios:

This combination of measuring and experiencing delivers more than just numbers. It provides insight into comfort as people actually experience it.

Your challenge, our shared quest

Are you facing a technical question or a complex project where comfort, sustainability and architecture come together? Then we warmly invite you to take on that challenge with us. At the Jaga Experience Lab, we do not look for quick answers, but for solutions that fit your context and your future.

Together, we test reality. Together, we build trust. And together, we create climate solutions that feel like tailor-made work — because they truly are. 🌱

Are you facing a technical question or a challenging project?
Together, we will find the solution that perfectly matches your project and your requirements.

Discover our groundbreaking Multi H valve: one valve, unmatched flexibility.

Our brand-new Multi H valve combines flexibility with comfort and energy efficiency. Equipped with a Gampper thermostatic Vario-DP insert, this valve is suitable for all vertical radiators with a centre connection. Thanks to the pressure-independent flow control, adjustable from 20 to 340 l/h, the flow rate remains stable, ensuring reliable operation and lower energy consumption.

The valve is universally applicable and suitable for both floor and wall connections. It is supplied as standard with the Vario-DP insert on the right-hand side, positioning the water supply and thermostatic head on the right. During installation, the insert can easily be swapped with that of the return valve, making a left-hand connection possible as well. This makes our Multi H valve highly flexible in both design and installation.

The return valve, pre-assembled as standard on the left-hand side, is equipped with an integrated drain function. This allows the radiator to be easily emptied while remaining isolated from the system. Practical for maintenance and designed with installation ease and continuity of use in mind.

This innovative valve pairs perfectly with our vertical unit: Vertiga Hybrid.

What this energy renovation teaches us about sustainable building and future-proof living

From outdated homes to future-oriented living

The Genk neighbourhood of Nieuw Texas, built in the 1990s, carried the quiet legacy of its time: moderate insulation, outdated technical installations, and energy costs that weighed more heavily on residents year after year. To change this, Wonen in Limburg, together with a network of committed partners, chose not to pursue a standard renovation, but an inspiring pilot project instead. A renovation that not only renews walls and installations, but also sketches a vision of the future in which affordability, comfort, and care for our living environment go hand in hand.

The central challenge was clear and ambitious: to make the homes significantly more energy-efficient, without compromising living quality in any way. A delicate balancing act where technology, creativity, and care come together. It is demonstrating how sustainable choices not only transform buildings, but also improve the daily lives of the people who call them home.

Smart interventions in the building envelope and systems

The energy renovation of Nieuw Texas started from a broad, people-centred perspective: how can energy consumption be reduced while simultaneously enhancing living comfort? The solution lay in a series of well-considered interventions to both the building envelope and the technical systems.

The homes were fitted with new façade insulation and exterior finishes, while the building services were also thoroughly upgraded. A low-temperature heating system combined with fan coil units ensures high comfort with low energy consumption. Both heating and cooling are delivered through the same units: Jaga Briza 12 and Jaga Strada Hybrid. Thanks to this integrated approach, the homes not only use less energy, but are also ready for renewable energy sources.

A neighbourhood as an energy system

What truly sets Nieuw Texas apart is the scale of thinking behind the project. Not home by home, but the entire neighborhood conceived as a single, living energy system. it’s a place where individual choices reinforce one another, and where technology, architecture, and collaboration form a sustainable cycle.

By collectively preparing the homes for smart energy technologies, the neighborhood can grow in a future-oriented way. The renovation demonstrates how communities become stronger when they pursue collective energy solutions and join forces to invest in systems that deliver greater long-term value.

In this way, the project sets a new benchmark for sustainable renovation. The combination of innovative energy technologies, thoughtful architecture, and renewable energy sources positions Nieuw Texas as a leading example within the (circular) construction sector.

Residents at the centre of the project

One of the key challenges was integrating modern technologies into existing building structures without compromising aesthetics or functionality. Jaga’s flexible and compact indoor climate solutions ensure that technology never feels intrusive, but instead blends seamlessly into everyday life.

Today, residents benefit not only from lower energy consumption, but also from a more comfortable and healthier indoor climate. A home that breathes with the seasons, bringing calm during warm months and warmth during colder periods, while respecting both people and the environment.

Conclusion

The energy renovation of Nieuw Texas shows that an existing neighbourhood does not have to remain bound by the limitations of the era in which it was built. With care, imagination, and technical innovation, a community can gain a second, sustainable life. Through smart choices, a well-considered approach, and close collaboration between construction partners, it is already possible to lay the foundations today for the way we will live tomorrow. And that is exactly what sustainable renovation means.

Why is it important to think long-term when renovating?

By choosing sustainable materials and technologies, you create a home that will still be energy-efficient and comfortable in 10 or 20 years. Long-term choices reduce future costs, enhance living comfort, and contribute responsibly to a healthy living environment.

An integrated system, such as combined heating and cooling with fan coil units, saves space, works more efficiently, and creates a more stable indoor climate. It increases comfort, reduces energy consumption, and fits seamlessly into a future-oriented renovation concept.

Insulation, ventilation, heating, and cooling reinforce one another. If one element is weak or outdated, it reduces the impact of the other improvements. By combining measures, you get the most out of your energy renovation and increase both the comfort and sustainability of your home.

Smart low-temperature systems and compact fancoil units make it possible to deliver comfort with very low energy consumption. They integrate into existing structures without compromising aesthetics and support future solutions such as renewable energy sources.

It translates the experiences from Nieuw Texas into concrete, practical insights:

  • Think beyond today.

  • Choose systems that combine multiple functions.

  • Make sure all energy measures reinforce one another.

  • Put occupant comfort—your comfort—at the centre.

  • Build towards a future where technology, creativity, and care for the planet work seamlessly together.

How B&C Technics transformed their own office into a showcase of smart, silent and sustainable comfort.

During the renovation of their offices in Geel, B&C Technics Belgium chose a forward-looking approach that brings together people, technology and comfort in perfect harmony. The new workspace was designed not just to be functional, but to be a place where people feel good, where the indoor climate adapts to the rhythm of the day, enhancing well-being and focus.

That’s why the company selected Jaga’s Briza Net Zero S — a fan coil unit that seamlessly combines heating and active cooling with whisper-quiet efficiency. With its low-temperature regime (35°/30°) and active cooling capacity (7°/12°), the unit creates a stable, healthy and energy-efficient indoor climate that adjusts naturally to occupancy levels.

A story of trust and craftsmanship

The collaboration between Jaga and B&C Technics is built on more than 40 years of trust and expertise. For the installer, this project became a personal reference — an opportunity to showcase in their own workspace what they promise to clients every day: comfort that is smart, silent and stylish.

The renewed offices in Geel are now more than just a workplace; they are a living example of how design, sustainability and human comfort can strengthen each other. A demonstration that heating and cooling can be both functional and visually enriching, contributing to the well-being of everyone inside.

Smart comfort in practice

The Briza Net Zero S is designed for those who value both comfort and aesthetics.
The long, slim ceiling units, discreetly positioned along the windows, create a soft curtain of warm or cool air, gently wrapping the space in a sense of calm.

Each unit is controlled via the JRT100-tw thermostat, with an optional Wi-Fi interface, allowing every user to adjust the climate of their workspace individually. This flexibility makes the system ideal for offices and meeting rooms with varying occupancy, ensuring constant comfort and efficient energy use.

Silent power, tangible efficiency

The EC motors of the Briza Net Zero S deliver exceptionally low noise levels, essential in any workspace where peace and focus matter. The result is an indoor climate that doesn’t draw attention, yet is clearly felt — comfortable, balanced and harmonious throughout the seasons. The technology remains discreet, working seamlessly with the interior design to enhance the room’s sense of balance and elegance.

Sustainable quality at its core

The Briza Net Zero units are designed and installed with the future in mind:

  • Low-voltage (24V) operation and EC motors minimise energy use.

World Architecture Day 2025: Design for Strength

Today we celebrate World Architecture Day – a day established in 1985 by the International Union of Architects to highlight the power of architecture.

This year, the day focuses on the theme “Design for Strength” – a call to create sustainable, resilient, and healthy living environments. This theme aligns closely with Jaga’s values and principles.

Design for Strength: Building Sustainable Living Environments

The International Union of Architects invites architects around the world to look beyond short-term solutions and embrace designs that radiate strength and continuity. Four core messages are central to this vision:

  • Strength in Design – Our built environment must embody sustainability, resilience, and cultural sensitivity. This requires awakening the artist within us (awake the artist), so that design is not only functional but also meaningful and inspiring.

  • Platform for Resilience – Built environments play a crucial role in protection and reconstruction after natural disasters or human crises. This is an opportunity to dream together of a future (dream a future) where architecture serves as a source of safety and hope.

  • Sustainable Rebuilding – Recovery and adaptation demand responsible use of materials and sustainable methods. Only by truly respecting nature (respect nature) can we build living environments that support health and continuity.

  • Beyond Shelter – Architecture goes beyond providing shelter; it contributes to equality, continuity, and well-being. In doing so, we build bridges (building bridges) between people, generations, and cultures, creating spaces that genuinely connect.

  •

The Role of Technology in Future-Proof Architecture

In creating strong and sustainable living environments, both the design and the technology behind the façades play a crucial role. Climate solutions and energy efficiency determine how comfortable, healthy, and future-proof buildings can be.

At Jaga, we share this goal with architects: together we develop innovative heating and cooling solutions that consume less energy, contribute to healthy indoor air quality, and enhance the aesthetic character of buildings. We show that technology and beauty can seamlessly go hand in hand, while respecting nature and awakening the imagination of designers.

Building a Strong Future Together

Architects shape more than buildings – they shape our dreams, our safety, and our way of living together. At Jaga, we believe that smart technology and aesthetic design go hand in hand. We are proud to partner with architects who push boundaries and open up new perspectives.

By integrating our expertise in energy-efficient climate, heating, and cooling solutions into architectural projects, we help realise the vision of “Design for Strength”: buildings that are not only functional and beautiful today but also ready to face the challenges of tomorrow.

A sincere thank you to all architects who, with their vision and passion, contribute to a healthy and sustainable future for heating and cooling in buildings.

Jaga opens a sustainable landmark in the Netherlands, where innovation and sustainability meet.

Den Bosch – Early 2025, Jaga Netherlands returned to its familiar location on De Beverspijken in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Not to the old premises, but to a completely new, sustainable office that demonstrates how Jaga is working worldwide to create healthy and future-proof living environments. With wood as its foundation and sustainability as its guiding principle, this building is an inspiring showcase of our philosophy in practice.

Back to our roots, moving forward with vision

The story of the Jaga Netherlands team began in Den Bosch. After years of growth, the team relocated, but the desire to return remained. The old building no longer met our sustainability ambitions and made way for a new, circular facility. This return connects Jaga Netherlands’ origins with a clear focus on the future.

Timber construction as a conscious choice

For the new building, we chose Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) – a circular, lightweight, and strong construction material that not only emits far less CO₂ than concrete but also stores carbon. The use of timber makes this building a flagship example of climate-conscious construction.

Environmental care also guided the construction process: materials were transported by electric trucks and assembled using a zero-emission crane – all with the goal of minimizing environmental impact and demonstrating that sustainability is not an afterthought but a foundation.

Building sustainably together

A future-proof building cannot be achieved alone. That is why Jaga Netherlands partnered with regional companies such as Verel Building Experiences, Klimax Installatiebedrijven, and Maréchal Elektro. Together, they opted for innovative solutions, custom designs, and the reuse of materials. This collaboration underscores our belief that meaningful change can only be achieved through cooperation and courage.

More than just an office

The new building is much more than a workplace. With bright, open spaces, a training center, and a consultancy hub, it is a place where knowledge, innovation, and inspiration converge. Visitors and partners can experience firsthand how heating, cooling, and ventilation integrate seamlessly with comfort and design. The building serves as both a living lab and a powerful example of the potential of timber construction in modern commercial projects.

Practice what you preach

At Jaga, we believe in demonstrating what we stand for. This new office is living proof of that commitment – a place that embodies our core values: respect nature, awake the artist, dream a future, create emotion, and building bridges. In Den Bosch, it stands as a symbol of sustainability, and worldwide, as a testament to our mission without borders.

Reorienting our product range for maximum impact

Our EyeCatchers decorative and bathroom radiators were more than just radiators. They caught the eye,
added character to every space, and embodied our passion for uniting design
with technology. For years, they held a prominent place in our product range and in countless interiors.

A choice for the future

Today’s climate challenges demand solutions that go beyond aesthetics they must be futureoriented. That’s why we are proudly and deliberately phasing out our decorative and bathroom radiators to fully focus on what truly sets Jaga apart: sustainable solutions for low water temperature heating and cooling.

JAGA CLIMATE DESIGNERS DESIGN: HEATING AND COOLING GO HAND IN HAND

A winner of numerous international awards, the Belgian leader in reversible heating, based in Diepenbeek,
is well-known in over 50 countries. They now boast sales of 90 million euros and employ around 415 persons.

By Philippe Fiévet

The company’s track record is hard to beat: Innovative cooling and ventilation solutions are installed at Google and Facebook offices in the USA, Beijing airport, the World Trade Center Museum, the Louvre post office, the European Parliament, the European Court of Justice and many other emblematic locations around the world. Jan Kriekels,
Chairman of the Board and Director of Public Relations and Innovations at Jaga Climate Designers, explains: “For the year 2025-2026, we have several projects in the works: the Rolex headquarters on Fifth Avenue, Starbucks HQ, the new CIC Paris Mogador agency, not to mention 60,000 homes equipped every year in Europe and elsewhere!”

The man is legitimately proud of this success, which he shares with his father, the other Jan, or, if you prefer, Jan I,
who founded the company sixty-two years ago. “At the time, my father, a heating engineer, had set up his workshop in his garage. The only manufacturer at the time was Def, in Rocourt. But my father didn’t just build convectors: he added technology, guaranteed almost immediate delivery and came up with innovative solutions such as a 43-degree front panel, which avoided the risk of burns.”

In the wake of the 1973 oil crisis, Jan I started manufacturing the first heat pumps made in Belgium. His son swears
that he recently met a past customer who told him that it was still working! It was around this time that “Jan the Second” joined his father to give him a hand, which soon proved to be a masterstroke when he began producing decorative radiators. The market expanded gradually, with 500,000 units sold in fifteen years, and two awards won in early 2025 for the new Jaga Briza Net Zero range (the Henry van de Velde Award 2025 in the “Environment” category, and the German Design Award in the “Excellent Product Design – Energy” category).

Jan Kriekels, the second to bear the name, had ample time to explore the world before bringing a fresh perspective to the company — despite his rocker persona. Anthropologist, philosopher, economist, and seasoned globetrotter all in one,
he made it a point of exploring the entire planet before returning home. And it wasn’t long before he went from being the rebel of the family to a respected member of the family, and even a bit of a genius, as it was he who gave Jaga its current scale.

“Design made its appearance in heating in the mid-1980s. I was one of the first to seize the opportunity, creating stone or wood radiators, and surrounding myself with hundreds of designers and artists who played the game with me.”

Along with a few of his colleagues, he also takes part in the various COP conferences on climate change, aboard a glowing truck to defend the climate cause. He’s even been spotted in the Nevada desert leading his team at the Burning Man festival. “I wanted to deliver a message about the future and the personal solutions I was bringing to this challenge!”
He points out that his system heats and cools the home without emitting the slightest pollution. No gas, just water in a closed circuit for a heat exchanger with a thirty-year warranty, made of non-corrosive materials and totally recyclable, since most of the components are made of copper and aluminum. “Jaga signed the European Green Deal, which aims for zero CO2 emissions by 2050″, recalls the man who, in the process, also wrote a book titled “Innovate or die” (Innover ou mourir, Lannoo, 2010), in which he explains his commitment to the climate.

Left: “Design appeared in heating systems in the
mid-1980s. I was one of the first to seize this opportunity.”

Right: his commitment to the climate knows no boundaries. He’s even been spotted in the Nevada desert leading his team at the Burning Man festival.
