The VSC-Clinic, a brand-new dental center, is renowned for its nearly CO2-neutral design. The project was developed by the architectural firm CONIX RDBM in collaboration with engineering firm Heedveld, responsible for the HVAC study. Installation company Future Clima from Houthalen carried out the complete technical implementation.
For this project, a combination of sustainable techniques and efficient emission systems was selected. Jaga supplied the Clima Canals, dynamic floor-mounted convectors that provide both heating in winter and cooling in summer. These units were strategically installed in front of large glass facades on both the ground floor and the first floor. This ensures perfect compensation for solar gain during summer months and maintains a comfortable indoor climate throughout the year.
Sustainability was a central focus of this project. A solution as CO2-neutral as possible was chosen, utilizing locally generated and harnessed energy. This includes geothermal energy and solar panels installed on the roof. The system is integrated with a water-to-water heat pump that powers both a climate ceiling and fan coil units embedded in the floors.
This project highlights how innovative technologies and sustainable solutions come together to create a modern and comfortable indoor environment.
