At Jaga, we’re looking for a Project Engineer to play a key role in driving innovation and industrial excellence. You’ll help shape the future of our heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions by ensuring that new and customized products are developed efficiently, sustainably, and ready for production.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be at the intersection of engineering, production, and innovation. You’ll coordinate new product development (NPD) and co-engineering projects — from concept to industrialization — ensuring smooth collaboration across R&D, production, quality, purchasing, and marketing.

What You’ll Do

• Key Responsibilities:
  1. New Product Development (NPD)
  • Play a central role in defining and implementing Jaga’s new stage-gate NPD process, in collaboration with external partners.
  • Manage the NPD process from concept to industrialization, ensuring structure, visibility, and alignment.
  • Coordinate between R&D, production, quality, purchasing, and marketing for efficient project execution.
  • Take ownership of the administrative and organizational aspects of the NPD framework.
  2. Industrialization of New Products
  • Lead the transition from R&D to production, ensuring that the manufacturing floor is fully prepared before product launch.
  • Coordinate product introductions with production teams, including documentation, training, and initial support.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization during ramp-up and early production phases.
  • Act as a key bridge between engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.
  3. Co-Engineering with Customers
  • Manage customer-specific product developments in close collaboration with R&D, technical support, and sales.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear technical deliverables and align them with internal capabilities.
  • Coordinate with the production team to plan, prepare, and follow up on manufacturing activities for co-engineering projects.
  • Monitor timelines, validation steps, and design changes, ensuring full stakeholder alignment and on-time delivery.
  4. Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Follow up on deadlines and deliverables across departments to ensure strong and well-prepared product launches.
  • Facilitate collaboration, assertiveness, and positive engagement between teams.
  • Identify risks or bottlenecks early and propose effective solutions.
  • Ensure clear and structured communication of project progress and priorities.

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, or similar).
• You have experience in project coordination, industrialization, or product development.
• You’re structured, communicative, and results-driven — with a passion for innovation.
• You thrive in cross-functional teamwork and bring energy and clarity to complex projects.
• You’re fluent in Dutch and English.
