Extended Air Vent No Longer Standard on Low-H₂O Wall Units

July 2025

Modern heating systems are much less susceptible to air ingress. They come standard with automatic air vents, microbubble separators, pressure sensors, and expansion vessels. Additionally, today’s HVAC piping is diffusion-tight. As a result, the air vent on the heat exchanger is only needed during initial startup or in exceptional cases.

Angled Air Vent

In the latest Jaga units – such as those in the Net Zero range and our Briza models – the air vent is only accessible after removing the casing. Due to advancements in installation technology, the extended air vent, which was previously used to allow access without disassembling Low-H₂O wall units, has become redundant.

To reduce the ecological footprint, Jaga will no longer supply the extended air vent as standard with Low-H₂O wall units. Instead, these units will be equipped with the angled air vent.

The extended air vent will still be available as a separate item and as an optional accessory, but at an additional cost.
