Emitters: Considerations for Low Flow Temperature Heating (1 hour)

England's Building regulations recommend that when installing heat pumps, the heating system should be designed with a water flow temperature of 45°C to achieve a maximum coefficient of performance (COP). This seminar explains how a heat pump works, what COP is, and how water flow temperature affects efficiency. We explore issues around retrofitting heat pumps in existing buildings, insulation, air leakage and emitter performance at lower temperatures. We will take you through different emitters, how they work and suitable applications and will explore cooling too.

Delivered via in-person seminar or virtually via Teams.

Trench heating

Design and Specification of Trench Climate Convectors (1 hour)

This training seminar is designed to keep HVAC professionals abreast of perimeter heating and cooling techniques. It will provide you with an excellent introduction to the different options available for various applications. You will be guided through how they each work, how to select the right unit for your space, including calculating accurate outputs and working with low flow temperatures, plus the various other options such as curved trench and incorporating lighting.

Delivered via in-person seminar, virtually via Teams, or via individual online learning video.
