Statoil’s award-winning headquarters near Oslo, Norway, is an architectural marvel that is eminently suited to its picturesque fjord-side surroundings. 65.000m² of office space is occupied by 2500 employees, so a powerful heating solution was needed to combat the crisp Nordic climate, but that was also befitting the building’s environmentally friendly design.
It was decided that Jaga’s innovative Low-H2O radiators were the optimal solution – 202 Mini Wall-Mounted radiators were installed throughout the offices, and 90 Mini Canal trench heaters were used in the atrium. The discreet Mini Canal line the expansive atrium and are disguised under stylish aluminum grilles. Installed in floor trenches, the Mini Canal is perfect for preventing heat loss through the atrium’s glass facades with its maximum heat output of 4184 Watts. The Mini Wall-Mounted is small but powerful, available in outputs from 197 to 5637 Watts. Its subtle design makes it the ideal accompaniment to office décor, and is supplied fully-assembled in one piece for easy installation.
Because both products feature Jaga’s low-mass, low-water content Low-H2O heat exchanger, they save on energy costs, are ultra-responsive to temperature change, and cut carbon emissions by 10% compared to standard steel panel radiators.
